Tip to get you moving if you are too lazy to exercise

    Two Minute Session

ID-10081269.jpgIf you hate doing exercise and do everything you can to put it off because you find the thought of a 20/30 minute session too daunting, here's a tip for you. Do just two minutes. Set a timer to go off every hour and when it does, do two just minutes of exercise. Dancing, jogging, running on the spot, power walking round the garden, anything you like.

Two minutes isn't long to manage and doesn't take much time away from whatever you are doing. At the end of the day, you'll find that you've done quite a bit of exercise. When you feel a little fitter, you may want to do longer sessions, but if not, at least you are doing something.

Great tip Dani. I find that if I walk up and down the stairs I feel I am getting a bit of exercise in when I do not feel like going for that walk. Often laziness will take over. House work projects are also great exercise. Doing a continuous motion like maybe raking the grass after cutting it, or washing the windows. I also will wash the car. Sometimes all that bending and stretching helps keep you in shape when you do not feel like leaving the house.

I always try to incorporate more movement into household tasks such as cleaning the windows and washing the floor. I make sure I bend and stretch a lot when I clean the windows, and we have marble floors, so when I've washed them, I stand on a microfibre cloth and 'twist' on it. It's great cardio exercise for me, and the floor comes up like new, so there are benefits all round. If you stop and think about it, it's easy to build more activity into your day.

Great tips everyone! I also love to blast my favorite music while I'm cleaning. When a great dance song comes on, I can't help but take a little cleaning break and dance my buns off. That, or it helps me clean with even more vigor. lol
