    Tip for shampoo alternative

If you run out of shampoo, don't want to use shampoo on your baby or children's hair, or want to use natural ingredients try baking soda & water.

I switched to baking soda about 2 months ago and have been very happy with the results. After posting about my switch on Facebook I was surprised that 10 other friends have been doing this for years!

You have to experiment to see what the correct ratio is for you, but I rotate between a few teaspoons per 2 cups of water, to 1/4 cup if I want a "deep cleaning."

You can use vinegar & water or honey & water as a conditioner, but I've found I only need to do that once a week.

Great tip! Baking soda works well in the hair. Another great shampoo (for an adult) is diluted ACV. You work the Apple Cidar Vinegar through your scalp and all of the residue/oils rinse right out.

Wow! I'm definitely going to try this out! I hope it suits my hair condition. So did your hair get soft, shiny, or both?
Baking soda indeed a useful home supply.
