How To Get Soft Kissable Lips
Not many people make the habit of applying chapsticks during summer, thus they end up with dry, and sometimes, chapped lips. In the past, I hardly use chapsticks because I didn't think I would need it. However, when I experienced winter for the first time, I realised that my lips dry up easily. I was horrified, to say the least, as I have never experienced dry and chapped lips. So, I scouted for products to use for my lips and I have never complained about my lips again, and my boyfriend hasn't either! Below are some tips on how you can get soft lips without a trace of dryness.
A large number of people exfoliate their legs and arms, but not many of them do the same for their lips. Exfoliating your lips allows you to get rid of the flakiness of your lips. Exfoliant can be bought from the stores or you can concoct one on your own. One easy recipe is to take a pinch of brown sugar and mix it well with a tablespoon of olive oil. Dab the mixture on your lips and leave it for one minute. Grab a wet washcloth (or a clean finger) and gently rub it back and forth. Rinse, thereafter, with cold water. If you would like to buy one, I would recommend Clarins Gentle Exfoliator. Use circular motions when you rub it on your lips, as it helps to get the blood flowing, which results in a rosy tint for your lips.
After you exfoliate your lips, apply a lip balm. It is advisable that you invest in a high-quality lip balm. In addition, make sure it has an SPF because it can protect your lips from getting burnt. The last step is to apply a moisturising lipstick. To get a natural look, go for a shade that is closest to your actual lip colour. You can apply your lip balm before you use the lipstick. It helps to make your lips become much softer, but make sure you wait a couple of minutes before you apply the moisturising lipstick.

Re: How To Get Soft Kissable Lips
Thanks for the home-made recipe! Another simple way of keeping our lips moisturized and well-hydrated is to soak it with vaseline (petroleum jelly) overnight. Notice that your lips will "peel off" so gently buff them the next morning then apply a very good lip-balm.

So will ChapStick work the same way? I find it easier to apply that. If not, how good does your tip work? I really need nice lips lol.

These are some awesome tips! If I may add, what I do is also put petroleum jelly overnight when I go to bed. I wake up in the morning with super soft lips!

Awesome tips there Mystique, thanks a lot! The air gets damn dry in winters here in India, so we end up getting dry lips and skin. I had recently gone to a hill station in the Himalayas, and the temperatures there were constantly below zero. I made sure that I carried a fair stock of lib balm and moisturizing lotion.
Nothing is true... Everything is permitted.

Re: How To Get Soft Kissable Lips
You know, that's really true how we feel we don't need to moisturize our lips but end up getting chapped lips. I'm living in a tropical country so we don't usually suffer from dry, cracked lips. But when I went to the states, the very first thing I did was go to the nearest Walgreen and buy a lip balm. My lips were all wounded and kept bleeding my first night I was there. Like the others who have posted, I would also recommend the use of petroleum jelly. Also, I'm currently using those color changing lip balms which change their color based on the natural color of your lips. It also has SPF so its good for the sexy, kissable lips. lol

Wow nice tip there. Have not heard of anything like that to make sure you have nice looking lips and feeling comfortable at the same time. Looking forward to try it out in this winter.

Thanks, everyone! Yes, of course you can use chapstick alone and you can choose to apply a lipstick when you go out. It's important to invest in moisturising lipsticks - you can find them from various brands such as Revlon, Maybelline and the likes.

An even cheaper way to exfoliate your lips which I use is to use a towel, one that is pretty plush. You wet it and simply rub/scrub your lips with it till they feel nice and clean. Then apply lip balm, I always use vaseline because it is simple and cheap and does an excellent job of moisturizing.
